Warm Red Cabbage and Apple Salad

1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil 
4 cups red cabbage thinly sliced
3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds 
1/2 teaspoon salt 
1 sweet apple juilened
1 small minced shallot
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar 
3/4 teaspoon dijon mustard 
1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground or to taste
3 tablespoons walnuts toasted, coarsly chopped

2 cup  Cooked soybeans; drained
